Having been a youth bowler myself, I know what these kids are going through. And now, being a parent too, I was able to bring in that perspective.

Who I work with privately

Three people I'm most useful to.

I take a small number of private clients each season. The work is personal, so the fit matters more than the volume.

02: The Parent

For the parent in the seats.

If we are being real, you have the power to make or break them. Private work for parents who want to support without overstepping.

03: The Coach

For coaches building a culture.

You become who you're around. Private mentorship for coaches who want a thinking partner on the mental side of their program.

How it works

Four steps. Then we work.

A small, intentional process so we both know whether this is the right fit before we start.

01

You book a session

Fill out the short form on coaching.beyondthelanes.com: tell me who you are, where you are in your season, and what you want to work on.

02

I respond personally

I read every form myself. I'll come back to you with format options (Online or In Person), pricing, and a path that makes sense for your season.

03

We build your container

We set the cadence (weekly or biweekly), the length of the engagement, and the focus for your season, together, before we start.

04

We do the work

60-minute sessions, Online or In Person. Real conversations, real accountability, and the kind of honesty that actually shifts the mental game.

What's inside the work

More than a session. A season.

Private coaching isn't a string of one-off conversations. It's a season-long arc built around your real life: your tournaments, your parents, your team, your slumps, your peaks.

We set the length together, long enough for the work to actually land, scoped to where you are in your season.

Be honest with yourself

Is this the right level?

Private coaching is the most committed level of work I do. It's not for everyone, and it shouldn't be.

This is for you if…

  • You're in a real competitive season and the stakes feel real to you.
  • You're willing to do work between sessions, not just show up to talk.
  • You want a coach who has actually competed at the level you're chasing.
  • You want a season-long arc, not a one-time pep talk.
  • You're ready to be honest about what's working and what isn't.

This is not for you if…

  • You're hoping for an overnight fix instead of real, honest work across a season.
  • You want a one-off conversation or a single session.
  • You aren't willing to commit to ongoing work, not just a single conversation.
  • You'd rather have a structured program with a set scope and price. Try 12 Frames instead.

"I learned that getting to the top isn't in a straight line. You don't just appear there."
Why work with me

I've lived every side of this sport.

World championships, the Hall of Fame at 25, fifteen years on Team USA. And the kitchen floor moments nobody saw: the losses, the slumps, the times I questioned all of it.

Now I'm a bowling mom too. I know what it's like to be the kid on the lane, the athlete chasing the next title, the parent in the seats, and the coach trying to help someone else find their way through.

Private coaching is where I take everything I've learned and apply it to one person's actual life, not a hypothetical one.

Common questions

Before you apply.

How much does it cost?
Private coaching is by inquiry because the shape of the work depends on you: Online or In Person, your cadence (weekly vs biweekly), the length of the engagement, and what you're working on. Once I see your form, I'll share specifics that match your situation.
Online or In Person?
Both. Online sessions run on Zoom. That's how most clients stay consistent across travel and tournaments. In-person sessions happen in Chicago, at major tournaments I'm attending, or by arrangement. You pick what works for your season; we figure out the logistics from there.
How long is the engagement?
The mental game needs reps and a real competitive window to land, so the engagement is sized to your actual season, not a one-off conversation. We set the length together before we start.
Do you coach kids, or just adults?
Anyone willing to learn, any age. Youth athletes, collegiate bowlers, adult competitors, parents, and coaches. For younger athletes, parents are looped in, but the work stays centered on the bowler.
How is this different from 12 Frames?
12 Frames is my structured 12-session program: same curriculum, set price ($1,200), twelve frames. Private coaching is the open-ended version: we set the cadence and length to your real season, and the work is shaped entirely around you. Many clients do 12 Frames first, then move into private work.
Book a session

Tell me where you are.

The booking form on coaching.beyondthelanes.com asks the same things I'd ask you on a call: who you are, where you are in your season, what you want to work on. The more honest you are on it, the better I can shape the first session.

I read every form myself and I'll come back to you personally with format options, pricing, and a starting point.

"Trying to be perfect isn't honest. And there's power in honesty."

Not sure private is the right level?

If you want a structured 12-week program with a set scope and price, start there instead. Many private clients begin in 12 Frames.
