I’m honored to say I share a title with you in your already hall of fame resume. I loved watching you compete from the front row. Your game is inspiring and your champion spirit will carry you through to many more wins. 
Madden: Madden literally kept stats of every single frame EJ and I bowled. Every. Frame. You opted out of a baseball tournament that was taking place at the field of dreams this weekend to be with me. You’re the first face I saw every single time I turned around. I love your emotional investment in my success and I’m not even sure I would have been as successful this weekend without my team behind me.
Jersey: Although my bowling interfered a bit with your small business that you and Autumn Kelly started during the beginning of the cashier’s round- I knew you were around and that was enough. I guess you were right about the lucky bracelet you made me there. I’m never taking it off.
John- thanks for trying to Coach me from our couch. Lol. I love your dedication and commitment. I felt you there with me.
Mom and dad and Kassy: I won another title!! They called the time between my last win and this win a drought but I don’t see it that way at all. I’ve had a lot of wins in the last 10 years. They just look different now.
My Storm Family: 11 years ago you scooped me up and took a chance. I’m so grateful for the support at headquarters and the support at events. Jim. Shawn. Matt. Steve. You truly are the best out there. To know that your eyes are back there helps me settle in and not feel so alone out there. Thanks for a solid season.
Dj: you’ve never let me down. “Can I practice at 9:30am?” “Yep. I’ll be there.” “Can you put out a pattern for me?” “No problem. Which one?” “Can you take a look at my game and see what you see?” “Yep. I’d love too.” Since 2003 you’ve been there for me. You share in this title for sure. Without Diversey River Bowl and you- I’m not as solid at the line. That’s a fact. You mean so much to me and what I appreciate the most is what a friend you’ve become to me.
My EYT Fam: To the bowlers. And their parents. And my staff. You’ve all inspired me in different ways. Last week I watched a bunch of my EYT champions kill it at Junior Gold. Don’t think I wasn’t inspired by that.
You unintentionally helped me remember to practice what I preach.
- Focus on the process.
- Make your spares.
- Let things go. Good or bad.
- Stay present. Like realllllly present.
- Have some fun.
